Based on recent customer reviews, Cadbury South Africa is facing significant dissatisfaction centred on product quality and consumer service. Customers consistently mention concerns about reduced cocoa content, waxy or discoloured chocolate, and shrinking bar sizes across favourites like Lunch Bar, Astros, and Wholenut. A recurring theme is frustration with the Mondelez complaints process, including delayed voucher allocations, ignored emails, and unsatisfactory resolutions. While a few shoppers still celebrate the creamy taste and innovative PS range with personalised notes, the prevailing sentiment reflects disappointment with perceived value and brand integrity.

Empty sealed chocolate packaging with no chocolate bar inside
I bought Chomp chocolates party pack. I found an empty sealed chocolate bag. It was empty with no chocolate bar inside whereas the others had chocolate bars inside. This clearly shows that quality checks are not done thoroughly by the manufacturer. What do I do?

Cadbury doesn't taste like Cadbury anymore
Cadbury has become a huge disappointment. Not only has the taste changed for the worse, but the bars have noticeably shrunk as well. Whispers went from 200g to 180g and it’s now just 170g, and a standard slab is only 80g instead of 100g. How did this become acceptable, let alone the new normal? I've also noticed that the chocolate itself is much thinner than it used to be. It melts in your hands within seconds and has lost the rich, creamy texture that made Cadbury so popular in the first place. The flavour is now overwhelmingly sweet, with barely any cocoa taste left. All I can taste is sugar, palm oil, and artificial flavouring. It no longer feels like real chocolate, just a sweet, greasy confectionery product masquerading as chocolate. I've been buying Cadbury for years, but I won't be purchasing it again. Between the shrinking portions, declining quality, and disappointing taste, it's simply not worth the money anymore. So thanks, Kraft, for ruining one of my favourite chocolate brands. Then again, perhaps I shouldn't call it chocolate anymore. With so little cocoa in your product, "confectionery" seems like the more accurate description.

Astros Affected
I would like to Share my experience with Cadbury consumer SA. As i have laid a formal complaint via email regarding a box of Astros purchased from a local Engen garage and the item was affected as if it was expired.. I was asked to send relevent details i have sent the barcode and dates pics etc they than requested a pic of the item i did say it would serve no purpose but my response was made as if nothing will be done by me purchasing a Box? This looks like you trying to fight back yet you have an affeted product that i intentionally bought another box today to validate its not only 1 box but the other as well i have all the evidence and stated this is the several time i have bought Astros and its like this. It could be halmfull to kids as they would not know better been kids to stop eating.. Now thats its brought to consumers complaints its taken lightly i could not even get a courtacy call to correct the matter yet i am willing to go store to store hand picking the affected boxed if i have to with a witness and social media broadcast what is going on if i as a customer am not satisfied or accormadated but been thrown from pillar to post. I deserve proper feedback on what is going to happen to me as a client and the losses i have taken.. All pictures have been sent to relevent email *** My details Aslam Dawood *** ***

What has this world come to....
I bought a mint Bubbly chocolate by Cadbury, when I opened it, the chocolate was white. I reported the situation to Cadbury and was greeted by Mondelez South Africa. I forwarded my complaint accompanied by the pictures and kept it for them to collect. They did not collect it, the sent an email saying they are sorry, the quality of the chocolate is still though although appearance and the texture will be different, but unfortunately they are unable to confirm if its an issue in my area but as a courtesy gave me an electronic voucher of R60 stating, when I make my next purchase, I will get a R60 discount. So I forfeit the one I have and am told to go buy again and I will get a discount, but also encouraging by saying the chocolate is still the same just the color and texture, for me to get sick? If I went to the newspaper this would have gone much different
