****************....Unauthorized Debit Orders!!!

I was sold the Emergency Panic by ASAP 24/7 sometime last year. It was debiting R95 from my account for a while & all of a sudden I realized that they started debiting R198. No one informed me of the debit order increase. Even if the premium was to increase, how can it increase by more than 100%??? That is ridiculous!!!! I didn’t know where or how to contact them and I reversed the debit order at my bank, and expected them to contact me about the reversal, so they could explain exactly what was going on. No one contacted me and the following month, they debited R396 (R198x2). When I tried to reverse it, it did not allow me to. This is ****************, this company is a ****, and I want this account to be cancelled IMMEDIATELY and I want my money refunded. The debit I was aware of was R95.

Dear Nqobile,

As confirmed with you by phone, we have reviewed our records and confirm that we had contacted you earlier this year providing you with an option of adding on benefits to your existing service and to which the monthly contribution will be R198.00. As requested by you, we have emailed you the recordings of the said call.

Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to respond to your query.

Regards

Reviewer Update
This is absolute *******. I received a call from a guy by the name of O’Neil Naidoo on 25/09. He told me that they called me earlier this year around March and they offered me an option of upgrading my benefits which was going to increase my premium to R198. I told this O’neil guy that I had NO recollection of this call and they must send me the recording as I know that I wouldn’t have agreed to a jump from R95 to R198. This guy promised to get back to me within 7 days of the call, which means he would have gotten back to me by the 4th Oct, if I don’t count the weekend. On top of that, he promised me that he was going to give me a discount on my next premium and debit R81 instead of R198 as a token of an apology for the inconvenience, I guess. He also promised me they’d reimburse me all the moneys in excess of the R95 that they’ve been debiting should the recording reveal that I never agreed to the upgrade. Today is the 13th October, no one has gotten back to me regarding the issue, secondly, they debited R198 AGAIN from my account after the call(what happened to the R81??) and thirdly, I have NOT received any email of the recording of the so called agreement that I made for them to debit R198 from my account . I disputed the debit AGAIN at my bank and I Stopped it completely! I don’t know what they’re talking about in the above response when they say they’ve e-mailed me the recording. To which e-mail address did they send it because I check my e-mails everyday??? Why didn’t anyone call me to confirm that I received the recording and if I was satisfied with the resolution of my complaint if they had really sent the e-mail??? This company is a **** and has a bunch of *********** ***** who are full of empty promises & I want NOTHING to do with them!!!
