Unreliable (not to mention a waste of your time) if you are with Standard Bank
Ultimately unreliable if you use it with Standard Bank, as manually categorised transactions from a Standard Bank Credit card is constantly over-written when new statements are received from the bank.
This has been the source of feedback for close to 2 years, and all they have done is throw their hands in the air and blame Standard Bank, rather than coming up with a creative solution yourself (which should be quite feasible).

05 Mar 2020, 14:41Hi Henri. This is an issue with the Standard Bank website that affects a small minority of customers. Our data collection is standardised across all 100+ service providers we support and sadly we've yet to determine a way of addressing this without rewriting our data collection rules entirely.

06 Mar 2020, 10:47The point remains that you should disclose to Standard Bank customers that they are likely to loose all their manual categorisations every month. But just be honest and don't give a product to a customer without disclosing known limitations.
One can obviously argue that wasting time on dealing with an issue that affects a "small minority of customers" is a justified approach in your business model, and blame the third party for the problem, but in the long run, who knows.
As someone who has been involved in enterprise systems (dealing with millions of transactions daily) for 30 years I unfortunately do not buy that you cannot find a creative way of resolving this issue "without re-writing your data collection rules entirely"
