Unhappy
It would take too much space to review this company. They missold a product while I was bereaved and instead of answering my pleas for a financial advisor they created duress by insisting that I should register before the fees went up. Now I'm stuck with a product that is causing severe problems. Where do all these glowing reviews come from? They smack of public relations. They've removed the review where a man said he was pestered for a review. Caution is advised. Ask for a financial advisor and ask for his qualifications.

23 Apr 2026, 12:27Hi Henrietta
Thank you for your feedback.
This matter was formally considered by the Office of the FAIS Ombud. After reviewing the complaint, the Ombud dismissed the matter and found that the actions taken were in accordance with the rules of the GEPF and applicable legislation. The Ombud further noted that, based on these rules, you did not have the option to access the full benefit in cash and that the process followed could not be faulted.
An application for reconsideration was subsequently submitted to the Financial Services Tribunal. This application was dismissed, with the Tribunal confirming that the Ombud’s reasoning could not be faulted. The Tribunal further confirmed that 10X did not provide advice on the product and that the outcome was driven by the legislative framework and circumstances at the time.
Following your resignation from the GEPF, your benefit was transferred into a pension preservation fund. The options available were governed by the rules of the GEPF, which limited access to the funds and required that a portion be used to purchase an annuity.
The position remains that the process followed was correct and in line with legislative and regulatory requirements.
Kind regards,
10X Investments
