Poor communication on Fund Transfer
I have been struggling since 23 July 2026 to submit my tax return due to an 'outstanding recognition of transfer' error on my return. I have contacted SARS multiple times and they all say they cannot assist, the Fund needs to ensure the ROT01 process was correctly filed. I have relayed this message via emails and call to 10x for now over a month and still no one can actually say they have contacted SARS to resolve the issue, they keep giving me the same screenshot and email sent since July. I have refreshed my return multiple times and nothing has changed, even when the consultant at SARS has checked my profile they see the exact same error. I am sure there are many more similar reviews. This is worrying as I have done another transfer now in the FY27 year.
Thank you for your complaint, and I am sorry for the frustration and inconvenience this matter has caused you. I appreciate that you have been trying to resolve the issue with SARS since July and that receiving the same information from us without seeing a change on your tax return has been understandably concerning.
I have reviewed the transfer information we have available and would like to clarify the transfers relating to the different tax years.
The transfer you recently completed for the 2027 tax year was processed by our 10X Retail Team. This transfer is not related to the outstanding recognition of transfer showing on your 2026 tax return, as it falls into a different tax year.
For the 2026 tax year, our records show a transfer from Alexforbes to your 10X Umbrella Fund, which was completed in July 2025. The relevant ROT01 information for transfers processed by 10X has been submitted to SARS.
As the ROT01 information has been submitted from our side, we would like to establish whether there may be another transfer reflected on your 2026 tax return that is causing the outstanding recognition error.
Could you please check your 2026 tax return and confirm whether there were any other transfers made during the 2026 tax year, in addition to the Alexforbes transfer completed in July 2025?
We would also recommend refreshing your 2026 tax return on eFiling to ensure that the latest information received from SARS is reflected on your return. If the error remains after refreshing, please send us a screenshot of the specific “outstanding recognition of transfer” error currently showing on your 2026 return. This will allow us to compare the information on your return against the transfer information we have on record and investigate the matter further.
We appreciate that you have already contacted SARS several times, and we do not want you to continue going back and forth without resolving the underlying issue. Once we have confirmed exactly which transfer SARS is flagging on your 2026 return, we can investigate this against our records and determine the appropriate next step.
We also want to reassure you that the transfer completed for the 2027 tax year is separate from this issue and should not affect the 2026 tax return.
Kind regards,10X Investments

Thank you for your email.
We are pleased that we have now been able to resolve the matter and that the necessary information has been provided.
As this has been an extended process, we would simply appreciate knowing that everything is now in order on your side and that the issue has been resolved from your perspective. There is, of course, no need to respond if everything has been sorted, but we would appreciate the confirmation for our records should you wish to provide it.
Thank you again for your patience throughout the process, and we apologise for the frustration and inconvenience caused by the delays in resolving your query.
