10X is bad - rather go for a well-known (non insurance) investment firm
For anyone considering migrating from your current pension fund (mine is/was Old Mutual) to 10X investment.. Be careful!!
I didn't receive any feedback communications from then regarding the progress on my application, even sending mails to ********** I didn't receive any feedback, and ultimately the 180 days to perform a Section 14 expired.
I see this as a blessing in disguise - Imagine withdrawing your pension at 65 with this customer care incompetence
Good day

Good afternoon Hanno
I sincerely apologise for the frustrations you had to go through with this application to transfer your funds from Old Mutual to 10X Investments.
Upon investigation, I could ascertain the following: We requested the transfer forms from Old Mutual in September and October 2017, and it seems that we received the outstanding forms on the 17th January 2018. It was then sent to the 10X Fund Trustees for completion and signature. (The transfer can only be initiated upon receipt of these forms, signed and agreed to by both Boards of Trustees).
We received your request to cancel the transfer in March 2018, and it was confirmed to me that this was done.
Although transfer applications can take a long time to finalise, this process is regulated, and there should be no reason for a delay such as you have experienced.
Sincerely
Michelle de Jager
