10X Investments is a low cost and user friendly online provider of numerous financial products

10X Investments offers a number of finacial products with a lot of flexibility. Their main selling point is very low costs (on their website they say the their fees are max 0.98%, my personal fees are much lower). As we all know the compounding effect of high fees can be a lot of money over a life time.

Some other positives I experience with 10X (I have an retirement annuity): 1. You can change the debit order online, minimum is R1 000 per month (takes less than a minute, everything online!) 2. A very user friendly website where you can view how your investment is performing, view costs or download more information. 3. They have a nice interactive calculator that illustrates what you need to save to reach your retirement goals. 4. No nuisance emails, SMS's and calls.

In general there are two types of companies that offers retirement annuities these are investment companies (like 10X) and insurance companies. Insurance companies do not always manage the product, they are usually the middle man, this obviously increases costs and bureaucracy.
