Stay Far away from 1 Grid

1 Grid has failed us over and over again. Stay FAR away from them! It all started when they charged between R1500 - R2500 per month for our email hosting. This was when their most expensive email hosting package was around R250/ month. We had to call and call and call only to the promise of someone calling back and eventually after months of fighting we were reimbursed. Next ... on the 23 0r 24 th of May THEIR system crashed and they LOST ALL our emails. We phoned and they would open a ticket, promising again that someonbe would call back BUT here we are in October with STILL no emails after logging 4 calls and recieving messages that our fault had been resolved. Today I called YET again, and luckily someone with skills could help. They apologised and said our mails are gone FOREVER. I asked for a letter, since who knows what info we might need from those emails, stating that their system crashed and we lost our mails. Only to be called back and told actually its OUR fault all the emails are missing. Apart from this, clients don't recieve our mails so invoices don't get paid when they should.

If you are considering using 1 Grid make sure you have plenty of time to follow up and do their work for them - make sure your time is cheap, because they certainly don't value it! Be prepared to hound them should problems come your way and then except about a 4 month lead time before someone considers resolving your problem!
