Shocking experience. One of my 75 domains that 1-Grid manage was ****** because they made an error in renewal. I have been developing this domain for several years. One day I get an email, telling me that they made a mistake and that my domain has been "******". Nevermind, they're sorting it out and it will be back to normal in 2 - 3 days. That was months ago. They just ignore me now.
The thing is, I am a reseller and have with 1 Grid since Web Africa days and I have all my services tied up with them.
What if they forget/fail to renew one of my domains or client domains? THEY DON'T CARE. You will lose that domain.
If you're planning to get involved with 1 Grid, just be aware that if they lose your domain, they don't care and they will jerk you around and do nothing.
UPDATE: Just had a call from Aphiwe (Supervisor at 1 Grid) says management are not prepared to do anything. I have lost years of development and a domain that constitutes a business concept. All gone down the drain.
Best regards,
Best regards,
Absolutely despicable @1grid_hosting that such companies can take advantage of small businesses and cause such a big financial loss to an individual. And try not to even rectify the error.

Email Wendy Knowler of East Coast Radio’s Consumer Watch with all the details *** - maybe a call from her will put some heat on them to fix the mess or compensate you appropriately if they’re genuinely unable to fix it.
