1-Grid Support Technician Akhona

I am and was 1-grid customer for many years, i was their customer when they were called gridhost, i grew up on ranks with them and being loyal to them. i had about 4 domain names with them. upgraded my packages with them but as end user i dont understand much about IT services.

28 February 2019 at 8:58 am i phoned 1-grid to enquire about my email upgrade from 5 Gig to 50 Gig which is not showing on my c panel. as an end user my call was answered by Akhona from 1-grid whom she advised me that reason why is not showing it is because is active on my other domain and she again advised me that she will move the package to the correct domain so that i can have access to the full 50 Gig package.

Same day around 5 pm tried to log into my c panel to access my emails i couldn't because the web hosting service and domain name was DE-Activated and i called 1-grid support tech log a fault to escalate #379889 because he also tried to restore but he couldn't .

On the 1st March 2019 i called in again and i was attended by Akhona and tried to ask her if my web hosting can be restored so that i can have access to my emails. responses i got from her are bitter and she said there is nothing they can do because i have asked for service to be terminated. how can i ask for my email service to be terminated whereas i can wait for renewal date not renew it and enjoy benefits of money i have paid.

AKHONA is CHEEKY, SELF PROTECTIVE, ARROGANT, doesn't care about 1-GRID reputation, as a professional she was supposed to check customer account and advise accordingly. with such people in place 1-grid will loose loyal customers.

While i was frustrated and angry i was calmed by ASHLEY ARENDSE from 1-grid whom he take me to task to promise me that he cannot speak for his colleagues but he assured me that he will resolved my problem. he logged the ticket #379889,, call me back, login to my PC to help me access my outlook and He restore my services.

1-GRID Executive Directors and Founders i hope you have people like Ashley Arendse and Zakkie Mohamed whom they have interest of the company at heart. Ashley he is always calm and willingly to assist irate customer. with such two individual in place 1-grid may grow but with people like Akhona who always wants to protect her skin the company will perish.

If you need 1-grid to compete in the industry you need to educate people like AKHONA that 1-grid is not like Eskom but it has other competitors like AFRIHOST.
