FREEZING OF CUSTOMERS MONIES

I have been a member of Zurreal Healthcard for some years. On the 17 November an e-mail was sent out - which I only read after the 22nd November, as it landed in my junk e-mail box. The essence of the mail was that due to changes from visa to mastercard - our Healthcards would be deactivated 22 Nov - effectively we would thus have no access to our monies in the card - and temporary cards would be sent us 2nd week Dec. So for a period of 3 weeks Zurreal sit with all members money - earning interest there from - and we are not able to pay for any medical bills which we would do with our card - during this period. Added to insult - when I phoned their offices yesterday asking where my card was - I was told I would be called back with the tracking number. This morning when I phoned I get told the card was sent to an address I lived at 15 years ago - when I was not married!!!! They refused to acknowledge that they had made an error ... .as I have received Zurreal mail at my new address under my now married surname. So they have update my married surname - but not my address and I am told that I am at fault. Added to this when I phone the Post Office they have sent the card to - i am advised that the card was sent only yesterday - clearly after my phone call. My big question - is how legally - a company could freeze anyone's access to customers own monies. The new cards should have been sent out prior to deactivation of the old card. And when you explode over the phone in pure frustration - they are more concerned about their hurt feeling than how they have stuffed up from their side - and refuse to acknowledge that they have done so!!!! Service in South Africa at it's best!!!!!
