Totally disgusted at the unfair treatment I'm receiving from Bryte

I Marissa Ann Christopher took cover with my broker Nick in 2019 on a 2008 BMW 325 M Sport and my house hold contents, then on the 1st of September 2020 we sold the BMW and bought a 2009 S63 AMG from Senator Motors. All I was asked for was the papers of the vehicle which I sent through before the vehicle could be insured, and the vehicle papers were in the name of Senator motors as we still had a small balance with them. ( No questions were asked at this point as to why the vehicle was in Senator Motors name ).

On the 8th of May I had a very serious accident while avoiding a head on collision with a minibus taxi where I collided with a concreate pillar were I almost lost my life. I was in an a state of panic called my husband who called our broker Nick and arranged for my vehicle to be taken, my husband then took me immediately to the police station for the accident report.

The first item that was asked for was the Natis documents as the vehicle was a write-off which was supp****. ( Again no question was asked by Nick or the claims handler regarding the fact that the vehicle was still in Senator Motors name ). The investigator asked many questions including why the vehicle was still in Senator Motors name and how I paid for the vehicle. The investigator requested final documents one week later to finalize the claim which was a letter to say that I'm the owner of the vehicle. ( which was submitted as per her request )

Nick our broker then came back to us two weeks stating that this was now the final document needed which was a purchase invoice showing the outstanding balance of R10 000 which was submitted by me. Three days later Nick came back to me informing me that I needed to prove that I paid for the vehicle through my bank account and that Senator Motors deposited the money. I then responded by informing Nick that I was taking this matter to the Ombudsman, with in an hour I then received the AOL which I signed and sent back. I then received a call 1 hour later from Nick stating that Bryte is retracting the AOL as Senator Motors need to prove that they deposited the cash money I paid for the vehicle into their account.

Bryte is looking for unreasonable reasons to repudiate my claim. I'm not an insurance practitioner that is the reason why I have a broker to assist and guide me. I almost lost my life in this accident and now the insurance company I trusted is putting me through hell causing me unnecessary stress, my health has deteriorated drastically.

1. Why was I not asked upfront regarding the reason for the vehicle being in Senator Motors name? Only now at claim stage it becomes relevant. 2. Why am I being forced to ask the dealer that I paid cash to for the vehicle, what they did with my money. 3. To date no one has asked me why I paid R250 000 for a vehicle that is worth R430 000 which I believe is a very pertinent to this claim. The condition, mileage and the age of the vehicle and the fact that the dealer may have wanted to get it off his floor. 4. Why did I only receive the AOL on the 10th of June when it was drawn up on the 28th of May and then retracted on the same day with in an hour of me agreeing and signing and sending it back for payment.

Please can I get a response from the head of claims at Bryte Mr Reynier Rautenback
