THIRD PARTY INSURANCE CLAIM NOT SETTLED FROM 2013

In June 2013 my husband had an accident whereby an old lady turned in front of him at the robot which was green for him. subsequently our car had approximately R 85 000.00 worth of damage. Zurich Insurance refused to compensate for this damage and also had the audacity to lie and say that the old lady's car was stationary when the accident occurred. This is impossible as our car was hit from the side. This is blatant perjury. We have witnesses who saw the accident and have their statements to prove that the old lady was in the wrong and caused the accident. <br> <br> We have been fighting this ever since. Eventually they admitted guilt by saying they would pay a ridiculous amount of R 29 000.00 towards the repairs. We did not accept this. Zurich Insurance then fetched the car and had it assessed by one of their assessors. The verdict came back that the car was a write off. They then offered an amount of approx R 59 000.00. We said we would accept this plus having the car returned to settle the matter. They then cam back and said they would pay R 60 050 but were taking off <br> R 41 785 for VAT. This is vat on R 340 249. Since when is Vat deducted?<br> <br> THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE!!<br>
