Stay away from Bryte Travel Insurance!!

I wish I have read previous reviews on this company but being an ABSA client you think you are in good hands. It is an extremely tedious and complicated process to submit a claim for medical treatment received while you were travelling. I developed a UTI while travelling. I explained my symptoms to a Pharmacist to which he dispensed suitable and very effective treatment - so this was an over the counter transaction. For this OTC treatment, Bryte Insurance requires the following documents: 1. International public transport carrier ticket (air ticket, train ticket, bus ticket, cruise ticket, etc.) 2. Your bank card statement reflecting the purchase of the full return international public transport carrier ticket 3. Bank letter from your bank confirming your bank details - this is laughable because I am an ABSA client!!!!!!! 4. Comprehensive medical report from treating medical practitioner confirming diagnosis, date of diagnosis and treatment received 5. Report from your local medical practitioner stating what treatment you received 12 months before the start date of the policy 6. Itemised invoice for medical expenses incurred 7. Proof of expenses or losses incurred 8. Settlement, rejection or no cover confirmation letter from your medical aid.

When I paid for the top-up cover Bryte did not NEED a "Bank letter to confirm banking details" This company makes it an impossible task to submit a simple claim. DO NOT use Bryte Insurance
