Repudiated claim for car remote jamming

On the 01/07/18 i went to my local Spar and my car was remote jammed (***). There is unfortunately no surveillance at the shopping complex and the car guards did not see anything although they confirmed that this was a common occurrence in the vicinity . I was informed by the claims department that this is a general exclusion (property lost from unattended vehicle) and that they would not be settling my claim as there was no signs of forced entry into the vehicle.In this day and age where ********* are evolving should the insurance company not adapt and evolve their products/cover to cater for incidents like this ?.I am still covered with them and i pray this doesn't happen to me again. I have called other insurers to find out how they would have handled this and most confirm that theft from an unattended vehicle is a general exclusion but in cases of remote jamming there are exceptions made based on the profile of the client and the merits of the incident. Will definitely be looking at moving over to an insurer that doesn't have a "one size fits all approach" to dealing with incidents of this nature. !!!!. Be Warned !!!!
