Not as they promised. Avoid them, the service is bad, trust me
My husband and I booked a trip to the Italy, Paris and Greece, Paid R54000 leaving on the 21st of April 2020. On the 6th of June 2020 we were notified that Travel Dreams has gone into voluntary liquidation. before this i had asked HAYLEY CAROLUS to cancel our trip and start the refund process as the company had already gone into national disaster, and lockdown was soon to follow . Since then they went into voluntary liquidation which made it hard to obtain any form of documents, when we send emails we keep getting the same exact responses from lawyers telling us to claim from travel insurance as clients will not be paid anything. After we completed the claim forms with Bryte insurance, which was before we knew about the liquidation, we made several attempts to contact HAYLEY CAROLUS but each time was an epic fail. I finally called Derek Randall, we were told that the liquidation of a Travel Agent is not covered by the policy. Although this may be a fact after having to first download a 101 page document to find the T&C's which we never received in the first place, it wasn't actually the point, the point was that the flights had been cancelled regardless of them going into liquidation and that along with Airspace closure was covered by the policy. When I asked how do we get the cover on the flights being cancelled, she advised that we needed to get a letter from the airline stating this, when we send the letter from the airline we were then told we needed to provide proof that we had not been refunded. The only way we could get this proof was to provide the airline with the e-ticket number, which we didn't get from Travel Dreams and can still not get due to their business cessation The only payment we ever made was to Travel dreams. The appointed liquidation attorneys provided us with letters stating that no refunds would be made to creditors. When we asked the attorneys to send us the paperwork from our trip we had booked, we just kept getting the same email back from them attaching the same same documents, telling us to use those to initiate the claim. We sent that after having already sent Bryte our proof of payment, booking confirmation, flight details, confirmation that we have insurance and the proof that we paid for that insurance, we have still not been contacted by Bryte insurance. The company has ceased operations, you have a letter stating that there will be no refunds, what more do you need to honour the claim? or at the very least make contact with your clients! You have more that one way to cover us for this trip, pick one and honour the claim, this behaviour is ************!!! Stop using Covid-19 as crutch for poor service delivery.
most of this was copied from the other complainant as it is exactly the same treatment that i got.
Im very very disappointed as they had no problem taking our money, and I also never received the terms and conditions regarding the liquidation not being corvered
