Insurers who don't understand

I am a building contractor.

In January, a transport company delivered some material to one of my building sites, and whilst doing so damaged the boundary wall which I had built. The transport company and driver accepted full liability of the damages, and requested an invoice for damages.

I issued the transport company with an invoice in order to recover the cost of me having to rebuild the wall.

The transport company referred the matter to Zurich Insurance Company.

This happened in JANUARY.

Zurich have now (OCTOBER) stated that because the wall does not belong to me, I have not suffered any financial loss, and unless I am able to produce a utility bill proving such ownership, they will not entertain the claim any further. (BTW, they are doing the claim under Third Party)

The service from Zurich Insurers is totally unacceptable, and their understanding and knowledge of "who suffered the loss- legally" is unacceptable. I was surprized to hear they are a global company.
