Insurance repudiation - Auto trade underwriters pty Ltd / Bryte insurance company limited

In February 2019 Port Elizabeth experienced flooding at the same time we suffered water damage to our motor vehicle (vw golf 6 gti dsg) reg no. JDT 496 EC. We contacted our insurance broker and filled in all nessasary documents after a week or so the insurance company sent a assessor to assess the motor vehicle, he arrived and checked the vehicle and confirmed that it was not economical to repair as the damage was extensive the vehicle was collected by the insurance company and sent to a salvage yard. After a month went by and constant communications to our insurance broker they informed us that the claim had been repudiated when asked on what grounds and was told to us mechanical breakage wear and tear is not covered in our policy. We quarried it and was then told a investigation and report from vw sa had led them to that conclusion, we were told to collect the vehicle they were canceling our insurance policy and would not entertain any further discussion. We had vw collect the vehicle and give a report based on their expertise. They found that the car had extensive water damage and was beyond repair, we further inquired whether they had inspected the car previously on someone else's instruction, there answer was no we did further investigation and contacted vw cic and inquired whether or not they had inspected the vehicle they to said no. All the evidence and reports into this matter was handed to our attorney which in turn contacted the insurance company who instructed there attorneys (Mr A Prinsloo) which has been asking for further time as to re- evaluate there clients position which had been going on for months now. We now having to continue paying Wesbank and attorneys while they just seem to be playing for time. We at our wits end and hope that our media outcry and public similar experience might be able to help in some way or another. We have photo evidence reports from various companies who all come to the same conclusion. We have also instructed a PI to conduct a further investigation into Mal practice by the same insurance companies.In my opinion these insurance companies are getting away with Mal practice and innocent clients such as myself seem to just have to exept what they say, this is not on and we will take it to the highest level with investigative journalists to expose these companies.
