I'm being treated unfairly

I was involved In a car accident on the 27th August 2015 and my case was only logged with Zurich on the 28th October, in the meantime I'm without a vehicle and risk losing my job as a result. Today I finally received a release form as my car was written off due to the accident and Zurich is offering me R49000 for a 2011 Ford Figo. The reason for this amount is because even though Zurich's client was in the wrong for not stopping @ the stop sign its also my fault for not hitting the brakes fast enough to allows its client to break the road rules and ignore the stop sign. I'm without a car, and risk losing my job and I'm told they is nothing I can do to change this amount because Its better than nothing. I'm not Zurich's client, but I don't think Its law to unfairly treat someone because they don't have enough money to have their own insurance or to hire legal representative to assist when facing such unfair judgments. The market value + retail for a Ford Figo according to Zurich is R87000 yet I'm being offered a settlement of R49000, I will lose my job and obviously Zurich couldn't care less about me because I'm not their client!
