CAR NOT RETURNED BY ZURICH INSURANCE

After a constant battle to get Zurich Insurance to pay for repairs to our Pajero that was caused by a client of Zurich Insurance, they decided that the car had to be taken to the panelbeaters to be assessed by their assessor to see what the damage was. Their assessor said the car was a write off. The book value of the car is approximately R 100 000.00. They want to settle giving us R 29 000.00, a third of the book value. This is ridiculous! The repairs to the car are R 90 000.00. After numerous emails requesting that the car be returned, Zurich Insurance then said we must collect the car. Zurich Insurance must return the car and pay storage costs, not us. In the first place we never requested the car be towed to the panelbeaters, it was Zurich. Why should we have the expense of collecting the car and paying when it was at their insistence. The onus is on Zurich to return the car to the place that they collected it from in the first place! If the car is not returned we are of the opinion to lay a charge of theft against Zurich Insurance. This is ********* and unacceptable behavior and they are still trading by ripping people off like this.
