BRYTE / TRAVELDREAMS # checkmate
My brother and i booked trips to Rio de Janeiro leaving on the 19th of May 2020. Then along came Covid 19. We contacted travel dreams regularly regarding the current situation, On the 6th of June 2020 we were notified that Travel Dreams has gone into voluntary liquidation. Now we started the claims process with Bryte. After completing all the forms and submitting the original documentation+proof of payment as requested, Bryte contacted us and asked for a cancellation letter and proof of payment for flight tickets and accommodation . The only payment we ever made was to Travel dreams. There is no reply on any communication from them or their attorneys. Please let me know how on God's green earth am i supposed to get the proofs of payment from a company that does not exist anymore. I can give you a box of M&Ms from the Whitehouse signed by Barrack Obama because that is something i do have.
PS Simo from Traveldreams youre a star .. You fought for us till the end. Best of luck in your future endeavors

I was not that surprised by your e-mail stating that we were not covered for the liquidation of Travel Dreams. It has nothing to do with this matter. It was just something Bryte SA tried to not honor their policy. Once again let me explain to you. The trip was cancelled due to the ban on international travel. Even with Travel Dreams filing for insolvency we would have still been able to complete our trip had it not been for Covid19 . I have already lodged an complaint with the Ombudsman for Short Term Insurers and will continue until it is resolved
