Bright does not fight for their costomers

My son was in accident and his vehicle was written off. Excess payment that I had to pay was R18317.25. Claim number ***0 That accident was 100% the other persons fault. and she admitted it. The person was stopped was at stop sign waiting to come into a double lane road. She admitted that she did not see my sons bakkie coming down the road when she pulled away right in front of him. It was not a big accident as my son just came around a 90degree slip road at a traffic light. He slammed on the brackets and hit her vehicle just in front of the driver front door. Not a lot of damage to either car but because the airbags popped the bakkie was written off. I expected to get the excess back from the Bryte as it was not my sons fault. The other car was insured with Discovery. Discovery's lawyers wrote to our insurance stating that my son should have anticipated the accident and was thus also guilty. ????? Bottom line I got R3078.82 offer payback on the excess. When I told Bryte that this is not right, the answer that I got was from them was that is a fair settlement and they are happy. How is this fair. I know I'm just a small customer to them so they probably won't even care about my monthly premium if I cancel my insurance with them. I'm just warning possible new customers that if you are in an accident that is not your fault don't expect that they will fight for you to get the excess paid back.
