Zurich Insurnace have once again dragged their heels regarding the repairs to the Pajero that a client of theirs wrote off. Zurich instructed that the vehicle be towed to a panel beater where they could assess the vehicle. This, I. Our opinion was not necessary as the assessor could have come and assessed the vehicle where it was parked. Zurich Insurance have failed to return the car to us, failed to repair the damages and failed to pay us the damage amount so that we can repair the car ourselves. The damages were due to one of their clients smashing into the side of the Pajero and causing over R 80 000.00 worth of damages. The Pajero has been at the panel beaters since 12 September 2015. Zurich have not returned the vehicle which was taken under their instruction. The panel beaters now require an amount of R 20 377.50 for storage. This is NOT for our account. This amount is for Zurich Insurance' account and must be paid so that the car can be returned. The amount of R 80 000 plus is also payable by Zurich to enable us to repair the vehicle that was totally damaged by a Zurich client. Zurich must be one of the worst insurance companies to deal with.
