Consumer Commission complaint lodged

After calling the National Consumer Commission on Friday, a complaint was lodged regarding Zulteck's refusal to have the defective item picked up, as the Consumer Protection Act requires them to do.

I have still not received any communication regarding this defective item and have for all intents and purposes been ignored, which is not surprising.

They still believe that they can send customers faulty items and then the customer has to, on their own dime, send the item back.. but the CPA says that the item must be returned *at the supplier's expense*, which was again confirmed by the NCC call centre on Friday. This is common knowledge but companies love insisting that they know the CPA, when in fact they know very little about it. If these people knew it as well as I did then we wouldn't be in this situation.

In any event the ball is now rolling, and it's not about the money - it's about the principle, common decency, and the law.
