Talking to a post

On July the 21st at 07.00 I joined Zoosk.

I received a confirmation of memebership the same day, stating that this would run through until the 21st of October. During this 3 month membership I found a parner, advised Zoosk accordingly and cancelled my membership on the 19th of October to avoid being billed for a further 3 months of memebership, as the conditions of joining require.
It was surprising, threrefore to be billed for a further 3 months on the 21st October. I immediately contacted Zoosk, rquesting that the amount concerned be refunded. This was denied in an answering mail claiming that "we displayed a confimation screenbfore completing the transaction". No such "confirmtion screen" was involved and the repeat billing came as a complete surprise.
I sent another email pointing out the problem and received exactly the same notification from another employee....obviously taken from a standard reply booklet.
On my third attempt to get some one in their 'complaints' dept i got an incoherent letter from a ceartain Aaron F, saying that "I can confirm that you cancelled on 19/09/16", yet a few lines later sayas 'I'm afraid that as the the subscription was NOT CANCELLED we are unable to refund this payment"!!!!
What sort of people are Zoosk employing to handle what should be a realtively straight forward refund?
I cancelled before ny current subscription ran out, yet am debited again for a further3 months (which would have been perfectly acceptable if I had NOT cancelled....but I had, and Zoosk admits as much!)
So be careful of this site ladies and gentlemen....although it worked for me, it seems that they keep on renewing you subscription whether you cancel or not and have folks handling the complaints dept who struggle to understand or write in English.....yes, you have cancelled...no, you haven't cncelled, so we are renewing your subs according to the agreemnt concerned.
If you can understand that you're a lot cleverer than me!!
