My Personal Experience with Zinta Van der Linde Attorneys Inc
This review reflects my own personal experience and the events that occurred during my engagement with Zinta Van der Linde Attorneys Inc. I appointed the firm to represent me in a High Court family law matter involving my minor son. Throughout the matter, I acted in good faith, provided all requested documentation, followed legal advice, paid invoices, and communicated openly with the firm. Unfortunately, my experience became increasingly frustrating. Among the issues I personally experienced were: Written instructions that, in my view, were not executed within reasonable timeframes. Litigation strategies that were proposed by the attorney, accepted by us, but then not implemented when instructed. Repeated delays while the opposing party received multiple extensions, resulting in prolonged litigation involving a minor child. Numerous written requests for explanations and supporting documentation regarding my account and the execution of the mandate that remained unanswered. Threats of legal proceedings and credit bureau listing before my concerns had been substantively addressed. Confidential documentation that did not relate to my matter being mistakenly forwarded to me, raising concerns regarding document handling, confidentiality, and quality control. The attorney subsequently withdrew as attorney of record while several material concerns regarding the execution of the mandate remained unresolved. The matter has now been formally referred to the Legal Practice Council (LPC), where I have submitted the complete documentary record, including emails, WhatsApp messages, invoices, proof of payment, and correspondence, for independent investigation. As a father involved in litigation concerning a young child, I found the prolonged delays particularly distressing. From my personal perspective, I expected far more proactive communication, timely execution of instructions, transparency, and accountability from a family law practice entrusted with such an important matter. I appreciate that every client may have a different experience, and this review reflects my personal experience only. Readers are encouraged to make their own assessment.
