Zinox Stainless steel quality of work and responsibility of Ivan Taljaard

In April 2018 I got a Quotation from Ivan Taljaard company Zinox for two Stainless steel Staircases and Balustrades. I also did the deposit payment which was around 97'000R, I paid 100'000R in front. Ivan told me, he needs the payment to pay the material. In the Quotation is written that they will need 3 to 4 weeks to prepare the Stairs. In August 2018 I let Ivan Taljaard know that I will need the Balustrades and the Staircases till 15. Dec. 2018. In September he started do set the uprights and top rails for the Balustrades in the First floor. The uprights for the roof slab they didn’t do. From November to December I let Ivan Taljaard from Zinox know every two weeks that I need the Stairs at the 15. Dec. In December 2018 Ivan let me know that one of his workers did fall out and that he is moving his company to a bigger location around 1000m meters away and that he would like to do the Stairs in January 2019. Ivan promised me, that he will start right at the first working day at the 14. January 2019. At end of December I did even help Ivan move his company at a Saturday. Ivan did promise me and the Chairman from Village on See, that the Stairs will be done till End of February 2019. Also that appointment was not done. Every two to three weeks he promised another week to start with the staircases. In March Ivan did visit me at the site, he did excuse for the laying and the delay, he told me, and that they were thinking to close the company Zinox in Juley 2018. Ivan told me that he has money problems and if I can pay him some more money to start my stairs. He did ask for another 22’000R which I paid him with his promise to tart right after that he gets the payment. The week later, he didn’t come to start, so I did visit him at his new location. He and his wife Eldine told me, that they are going for a long weekend to Joburg to visit his family and that they can’t start with the Stairs, but when they are back, they will start. So it got April and Ivan from Zinox didn’t start. All the visits ended in promises till to June 2019 where they started to install the Stairs and Balustrades. The work and Quality of the Balustrades and Staircases are done in a very bad quality, see photos from the work. During the setup I told them not to do it that way, Ivan told me it can’t be done another way, that is the way it get’s done. Again they did not finish on once, they did came for 2-3 days a week or staid longer away. At the 15. June they welded everything together and left the site. They didn’t finish the work. After that I spoke with my lawyer and he told me to write him a letter that the Stairs and Balustrades have to be finished till 15. July 2019. I didn’t hear anything from Ivan (Zinox). So Zinox(Ivan Taljaard) didn’t come back to finish and won’t finish his work anymore. Also the wood for the landins is not deliverd. The situation is that now another company “Mega Welding” will finish the work which Zinox (Ivan Taljaard) was not able to do. In March I both a stainless steel sheet and sent it from Steel and Pipis directly to Zinox, because Ivan should have made me tow Chimney pips, he promised me this every three weeks. In May Ivan let me know, that he doesn’t have the stainless steel sheet anymore, he used it for another work for someone else. Also this stainless steel sheet he owns me. I also borrowed him a box of tools to drill holes into steel from 22 to 60 mm. That tool box he didn’t give me back anymore.
