What has happened to this once glorious place!!! Room 505 is in ruins to say the least!!

What has happened to this once glorious place!!! The place is in ruins to say the least!! I booked a 2 night stay at the lodge on Fri 19-21 July at R2400 a night. I got offered room 505, the state of the room is the worst i have. I'm not sure why they still selling this room as it needs major refurbishment. Upon check-in there room was full of dust, no slippers/gowns, shower gels,towels, no extra blanket (just a blood stained duvet inner which had been stored there for a very long time judging by the smell), broken lamp shade. i complained about housekeeping and atleast they tried to rectify. There was no turn-down service on sart, when i complained a guy not wearing uniform came knocking on the door asking if he can do it!! How was i to know who he was if he is not wearing uniform and a name tag!! He could have been any random ******** for all i know. I refused the service as such. I honestly feel cheated of my money, i wish i had spent it elsewhere. I actually would like the hotel to rectify this situation and refund me.
