Fairmont Zimbali Heritage Village

<p>My family and I spent the Christmas week at the Fairmont Zimbali Heritage Village on the KZN north coast, which is purported to be a 5 Star Resort, however, we spent the entire time getting maintenance crews in to attend to the many malfunctioning appliances, as half the air conditioning units were not operative and despite the "office " calling in an outside contractor, one particular air conditioning unit failed completely.</p> <p>The sink mixer only provided scalding hot water and no cold water and the washing machine did not work and even after their attempts to repair it, it still did not work.</p> <p>The light in the swimming pool was non existent, but there was an electric cable emanating from the light and its bare wires were stuck under a planter to prevent it trailing in the water, and when we complained about its prescence they stapled it down rather than using the planter to keep it out of the water.</p> <p>The Resort seems to allow day visitors access to the resort and so all the swimming pools seemed to be inundated with people and their picnic boxes and of course the noise from the pools was deafening.</p> <p>Hardly what one would expect when arranging a holiday at a " 5 Star Resort ".</p>
