A horrible stay at Zimbali Resort
I made a booking for a family of 6 for a 2 night stay at the Zimbali Resort through Bookings.com, when we arrived we were allocated two rooms so far apart we needed to request a shuttle to drive us from one room to the other. As if that's not enough the room that accommodates 4 people had 2gowns 2slippers the self catering unit had no stove, the drain in the shower was blocked and due to the open plan when we showered the water would fill the whole room making it impossible to use the toilet, mirror and wardrobe area, we called maintenance last night but we took a shower again this morning and had to use all the towels to step on so that we do not slip and fall, the matter was not treated with urgency, I find this unacceptable as we paid R14k for a 2night stay.
This morning we received a call from front desk offering us a "complimentary drive" around the resort so that we know what the place offers and the difference areas we can go to, we prepared for the ride only to find a sales person selling units in the area for marketing reasons and her interestions were not to show us the resort as they had presented from the front desk.
The service has been horrible and the stay has been a waste of time and money, we cannot wait to checkout tomorrow. such a disappointment!
