ZIDO CARS - Death Trap on Wheels - ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING CONDITION

I would certainly not recommend this Dealership and give them a ZERO star rating. My son in-law (Mr Gustav Otto) bought a vehicle from Zido Cars Dealership at the end of January 2021, which was advertised for R39 950. He arranged a discount of R5k because the odometer reading was nearly 40 000 more than what was advertised.

Mr Gustav Otto has had numerous conversation with MJ (the salesman) in an attempt to resolve the matter, but to no avail, hence I am writing for and on behalf of Mr Gustav Otto: Upon arranging for the Roadworthy Certificate and registration, the following MAJOR errors were brought to his attention: • The boot cannot open from the outside • All the globes of the vehicle is blown. • There is no wiper blade on the back window. • There are no number plates. • The rear nr plate light is non-existent. • The exhaust is tied / connected to the car with wire. • The gearbox has a huge hole in. (It was repaired with Pratley steel, which also has a hole in, hence the gearbox oil is leaking out. • The crank seal is broken. • The water bottle has a hole in (which is certainly the reason why the heart light came on) • The aircon does not work / not switching on. • On wheel alignment: the right front wheel is skew. • The rear window washer nozzle is non-existent. • The sump has a massive dent in, which is touching the “pick-up”. • The vehicle has no fender liners. • The water bottle is touching the right front wheel. • There is a noise in the cylinder head.

The Dealership responded as follows: "Mr Otto test drove the car,signed the T&C’s and they cannot assist us any further" For the record: 1. Mr Otto was not allowed to test drive the car further than approximately 3 kms. 2. Mr Otto immediately called MJ (the salesman) the next morning, and was told to use the discount he received to repair the car. 3. This car .... is beyond economical repair and cannot even start let alone be driven. A heartless bunch of people at ZIDO CARS!!
