Unproffesional Service

My experience with DebtZero has been frustrating and deeply disappointing. As a client under debt review, I expected a professional and proactive service—but instead, I am repeatedly left to deal with issues that should clearly fall within the company’s responsibility.

Problems that originated over two years ago are only being raised now, and only after they cause complications. This reactive approach is unacceptable for a company tasked with managing clients' financial well-being.

To make matters worse, the communication I’ve received from certain consultants has been unprofessional in tone and often poorly written. The attitude displayed in responses comes across as dismissive and condescending—completely lacking the level of respect and care one would expect when dealing with sensitive financial matters.

DebtZero was appointed to act on my behalf, yet I’m constantly left to chase up, explain, and resolve issues on my own. It feels as if accountability is pushed back onto the client every time, which defeats the entire purpose of being under debt review in the first place.

Dear Mr Van Jaarsveld, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We are truly sorry to hear about the frustration and disappointment you’ve faced. Please accept our sincere apologies for the distress this has caused you. At Zero Debt, we take your feedback very seriously—especially when it comes to the trust our clients place in us to manage their financial well-being. We understand how important it is to feel supported and heard during the debt review process, and it is deeply concerning to learn that you’ve been left feeling the opposite. The delays in addressing long-standing issues and the reactive approach you’ve described are not reflective of the service we strive to provide. Equally, the tone and quality of communication you received fall far short of our professional standards. We deeply regret that your experience has led you to feel unsupported and disrespected, and we want to assure you this is not how we expect our clients to be treated. Your concerns about accountability are valid. You appointed us to act on your behalf, and it is our responsibility to ensure clear communication, proactive problem-solving, and respectful engagement at all times. We acknowledge the shortcomings in your case and are committed to addressing them promptly and thoroughly. To move forward, we would like to investigate your matter in detail and resolve any outstanding issues without further delay. Please allow us the opportunity to reach out to you directly so we can ensure your concerns are addressed by a senior member of our team who will oversee your case with the urgency and professionalism it deserves. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention. We are committed to restoring your trust in our service. Warm regards,
 Marna Bezuidenhoud
