Trapped
I have been on Zero Debt since last year March. They have been good to me since but the problem started when I wanted to exit. They refuse to cancel my contact, they want me to pay off everything I had listed under them 1st even when I tell them I can now afford to pay for myself. I called The NCR and they gave the name of the they must give me in order to cancel and said that I have the right to withdraw anytime. Tambu still refuses. She always says she'll call me back.
Good day
First ly take note that the NCR implicated the withdrawal guidelines and the Debt Counsellor must act within the boundaries of the LAW.
As per the attached NCR Withdrawal Guidelines a consumer cant exit debt review after Form 17.2 (DC declares consumer over-indebted) was sent to credit providers. This was already done on 2017/05/30.
The only way to get the flag removed from your name is to settle all debts and be issued with Clearance Certificate.
Your allegation that it is the Debt Counsellor that is at fault because they act within the boundaries of the Law are therefore incorrect.
Kindly revisit your star rating as we are not responsible that a consumer cannot exit debt review after a Form 17.2 was issued or before all debts are settled.
Best regards,
