Paying for services I didn't receive and being delayed my clearance

I am writing this because it's clear that since I am not an active client on their books, although I am still registered with them, they are really non-challant. I was issued a *** in 2022. Since then I have been sorting out my accounts directly with CPs. Before settling my final account , I emailed them to state such so that they are prepared to issue my clearance certificate. I then sent my final paid up letter and am now being delayed further by charges they want to slap me with although I've done all the work (liaising, collecting letters etc) myself. Legally they cannot request a fee for work that has not been done, and legally the clearance is supposed to be issued for free given that admin fees were paid when I made use of their services. I am now being told I need to pay and then I need to wait 10-15 days for my clearance, when in essence as per the NCA they have 7 working days to issue my clearance and update the DHS system as well as sent this to all bureaus, from the date I supp**** my last paid up letter. We are on business day 3, best believe when day 7 hits, I am hitting send on my already drafted complaint to the NCR.

Yes after I had to follow up multiple times. I have paid the fee already, as I said, I am waiting until Wednesday to be cleared and receive my clearance with proof of DHS and bureau updates provided. If this does not happen by then I will proceed with my NCR complaint as mentioned.

Good day Saajidah,

Thank you for your follow-up. Payment for your clearance certificate was received on 8 October 2026, and we started processing your clearance as soon as it was received.

The clearance certificate must be certified by our attorneys. Their offices do not operate over weekends.

Your certificate is currently being finalised. Once it has been issued, we will send it to you along with confirmation that the Debt Help System and the credit bureaus have been updated.

We appreciate your patience while we complete this process.

Regards,
Zero Debt Management
