Deception
In June 2019 I approached a company called Zero debt. I dealt with Patience Manzombe who guided me through the process. She presented me with payment options that were available and I chose the one that was suitable for me.
I informed Patience Manzombe that I will be going on maternity leave in September 2019 and asked her if there would be any special payment arrangements as i would be receiving a portion of my salary. Her response was that I should notify them and they will notify my credit providers. She made everything seem so easy and sold me the idea that there won’t be any hassles when I go on maternity.
When I sent through the maternity forms as advised by Patience, I received a response from Ilse Rheeders who advised that there wouldn’t be any special arrangements for maternity as payment is required from month to month. I informed her about my discussion with Patience Manzombe about the special arrangements, she advised that I should not hold her accountable for what was discussed upon registration as the conversation is confidential. I asked her why they deceived me into making me think there would be repayment arrangements made during maternity leave.
She gave me threats that failure to make payments will lead to termination of services. She said i should borrow money from family members.
My rights were violated by Zero Debt. They acted out of character in order to close a sale. I nearly lost everything because of their greed and inconsideration and i have lost a lot of money on them. That's not a way to do business.
We apologise for the misunderstanding. The Credit Providers will be informed on your change of circumstances. However you must apply for UIF in order to try and make at least some payment in the next 3 months.

Kindly take note that this compliant was lodged at the NCR and we responded to them. You also made no attempt of making any payments from September 2019. It is a year later and now you want to blame the Debt Counselling company. For, 17.3 were sent as expected of us.
