******** WHO ***** DEPOSITS

As everyone else, my husband and I have had the same exact experience. Since we moved in in 2018 had issues with repairs not being done. They never did an in- inspection and Marlene told us o do one ourselves ****tle did I know), which we did without any guideline. The building manager at the time for the block we loved would be drunk on the job and make empty promises. Fast forward we were unfortunate to suddenly see the invoice amounts suddenly double and each time I enquired was moved from pillar to post, they would avoid my calls and respond to emails after weeks. Eventually when the only near sensible person who I think is their Maintenance manager Riaan investigated, sent people out found that the geyser pipe had been leaking for months. I was another 2 months of back and forth and negotiating with them to refund us on the double debits as this was not our responsibility.

Fast forward now we have been fighting for 4 months for our deposit suddenly they did a detailed out- inspection which is far more detailed that the inspection we had done ourselves (of course). We are now billed for everything wrong in that unit even what we found there and was never fixed and other fancy additions on our tab. To make matters worse I asked for the proof of this "work done" and was given an invoice of their I house maintenance dated Feb yet Jan they had a tenant in already and when I questioned that this suggested that they painted, etc while there was a tenant and was welcomed by insult from Riaan. Also I am aware of how they would move things like taps, etc from one unit to the next without purchasing but invoice/bill the client. Their maintenance guy on one of our convoys had old me how much they charge for painting but the invoice given to us is of course inflated.

I am taking them to task and encourage other people with similar issues to report them to the housing tribunal aka Ombudsman and estate agency affairs board. I have also contacted 2 TV shows to expose them. They have no regard for the law or people's livelihoods! I will not let them get away with it!
