Warning don't book with Zebula Properties
We are extremely upset by the service we have received. We have paid over R30 000 for 6 nights and made sure we went through a proper company so we won't have to manage this booking ourselves. We have rented many houses over the years for holidays and never experienced this.
Before we even arrived it left a very bad taste in my mouth due to a price change where we were expected to pay a further R 5400 even though their website says the price we agreed on and paid our deposit for. There is a screenshot taken today where the same house is being advertised for the price we were quoted and paid for the in season price! This is false advertising if it is the incorrect price.
We were not sent a code and had to wait outside the gate for a code to be sent. Rochelle was not answering and said she is waiting on the owners to send a code. Surely this should have been done before hand? And not left up to the resident who is arriving at 2pm to check in?
Upon arriving the pool was green and could not be used. I can't believe it can be left like this in peak season. The fridge is not working and we have loads of food with us. We unloaded it all into the fridge only to find it doesn't work which the owners would have known about. We have cheese, milk , baby food etc which has now had its life shortened because you assume the fridge works? Only to find hours later it doesn't. The kettle doesn't work and has been replaced with an old filthy one. It's shocking. It's December and the heat is terrible. We have young children that have been bitten by mosquitoes because none of the aircons work. We need to have workers in to attend to all their maintenance issues whist we are on holiday.
The pool is still green and we are not able to swim in it.
The drains smell awful. The blinds in all bathrooms are completely see through so we can't bath with lights on.
There were easily 150 bees that flooded the house yesterday morning. The owners are aware of a bees nest. The domestic worker had to quickly put a net up over the fire place to stop them and then had to sort out the 150 odd bees that were upstairs against the windows. An extremely dangerous situation to be in with young kids. It's not acceptable if they are aware of this.
I understand things can go wrong but a green, filthy pool, broken fridge, broken kettle, broken aircons and bees is unacceptable during peak season. These are all things that are not a surprise.
We work extremely hard all year and need this break to unwind and have a break with our young kids. We couldn't swim and enjoy the first day and I'm tired of being on duty doing this maintenance and up keep while on holiday.
We were eventually forced to leave 3 days early because the bees flooded the house on new years day and it would take hours to get someone out to help us and with a child allergic to bees we couldn't take the chance. Tiaan assured us we would be refunded but we have not and we had to beg for weeks for our deposit back!
We had our Christmas holiday stollen from us. These people are absolutely shocking. Tiaan assured me they never get complaints but upon doing some research there are loads of unhappy customers. Do not use these ********!!!! Hennie is rude and won't reply but will take your money and ruin your holiday!
