Robin Glen Village c/o Zebra Properties

I am shocked by the lack of integrity and unhelpful nature of Body Corporate Robin Glen Village c/o Zebra Properties. My tenant recently awoke to flooded carpets (on the morning of 16 February 2019). The caretaker - Mr Satori Heyne did a comprehensive evaluation and compiled a report which clearly stated that the water ingress was as a direct result of faulty drainage outside of the unit. Furthermore, the report clearly state that this very same thing happened a few years ago (same unit - different owner). This report was sent to the Body Corporate. The Body Corporate approached their Insurance Company who approved a quote of R7200. However the excess to be paid amounts to R5000. - I asked the Body Corporate to please take responsibility for fixing and thereafter maintaining the faulty drainage outside of the unit. - To please cover the excess in light of the fact that the carpets have now become mouldy and unhealthy and that there is no guarantee that the carpets will not flood again tomorrow! I spoke with Hein Smith who gave me half truths and empty promises - all of which he denied when asked to commit himself in writing... The Body Corporate (Chairperson Annemarie Lewis), is now ignoring my emails asking them to please discuss the matter with me in order to reach some sort of resolution. In the meantime my tenant is living in an unhealthy, damp environment...
