Title: Eskom’s Negligence Has Left My Home Without Electricity for 6 Months I am writing this complaint out of anger, frustration, and exhaustion caused by Eskom’s complete failure to restore electricity at my home in Zebediela, Moletlane. Since July 2025, my house has had no electricity due to cable theft. I immediately reported the matter, opened a police case, and received an Eskom reference number. Eskom has had all the required information for months — yet not a single technician has come to install the cable. What makes this situation unacceptable is that Eskom calls me almost daily asking whether the problem has been resolved. These calls are pointless and insulting because no one ever comes to fix anything. Instead of action, I receive empty follow-ups while my home remains in darkness. I am forced to live without electricity like I do not matter. My food spoils. My daily life is disrupted. My safety is at risk. This is not a “delay” — this is pure negligence and incompetence. I followed every correct procedure. I reported the theft. I cooperated fully. Yet Eskom continues to ignore my case for over six months with no explanation and no timeline. This is unacceptable for a basic service that people depend on to live. I am demanding immediate installation of the ****** cable and a clear, written explanation for why Eskom has failed me for so long. If this matter is not resolved urgently, I will escalate it further. Six months without electricity in my own home is inhumane. Eskom must be held accountable.
