Zara exchange policy is pathetic

I tried to do an exchange without a receipt but was denied stating that I needed the original till slip. Now, I respect exchange policies and would gladly have produced my receipt had my bag not been ****** with my wallet containing the receipt. Contacted head office and I was referred to the exchange policy and advised that it is not possible to exchange without a receipt. Needless to say with such poor service I quite frankly will never buy from Zara again.
