Senseless and Unreasonable Conditions
The South African market needs to collectively boycott this senseless condition of no goods exchange without a docket while the goods are in good and sellable condition. In a case where the purchase is given/received as a gift and is found not suitable or the size is not the right one, what then is expected from the consumer. Some laws or policies or terms of use are ****** unreasonable and senseless for some markets, and therefore, the global standardization becomes irrelevant.
On Saturday, 08 May 2021 I went to Zara Tygervalley mall to exchange an item that was purchased in Durban by my sister who lives in Pietermaritzburg, and then it was courier delivered. Now, the item is oversized and I needed to exchange it. Still sealed from the bag. To my amazement, the store manager told me they could not do the exchange without the ORIGINAL till slip. They could not accept it even if the slip is electronically sent. What the hell?
I seriously need someone from Zara's sales executive team to look into this condition. It is awfully unfair and wildly foolish. I further need assistance with the exchange I need to do. I don't want money or a voucher, given the size of the same item I'd available (hopefully it still is).
