**** return policy!

30/11/2022 I purchased a Christmas outfit for my 7 year old son at Zara sandton. Got home and it fit him fine. *** - denim short. 25/12/2022 The denim short no longer fit him. Its way too tight. 26/12/2022 We go away as a family and come back after new years. 11/01/2023 I come back from leave. We got into the office twice a week. I visit the Sandton branch for an exchange, only to find that the store is temporarily closed. 27/01/2023 I get a chance to visit your Mall of Africa branch wanting to exchange (I live in Krugersdorp 50km away) I had an appointment in Kyalami. I get told I cannot do so my last day to exchange was 31/12/2023. I will not get into the dismissive attitude I was given. I ask the manager what am I supposed to do with R499 pants that my son cannot use. She says she doesn't know. I ask again, why the store cannot take them back and resell them as there is absolutely nothing wrong with them. She answers they can't and I ask why not and she says they just can't. I ask that they take this up with someone else and she makes me fill in a report and says I'll have an answer within 24 hours. I still didn't have an answer. I contacted them via twitter and they gave the cold and rehe****d "sorry return policy doesn't allow for an exchange". Now how are we consumers not protected against such injustices?! Every case should be treated on its merits. What zara is doing is ********.
