Refused exchange after 30 days

Very bad policy , I work in retail too, my sister bought clothes for her graduation in Zara gateway but ended up going to the tailer for her suit, the clothes bought from Zara they were not worn price tag and slip is still there, but they refused to exchange the clothes because it has pass the 30 day return policy, she wants an exchange for something else not a refund but they still refused, according to the CPA it has to be within 6 months of purchase, I work in retail I know, we just want to exchange for something else but they still refused....Zara's policy should be looked at by the south African retailers.....it's so unfair
