Poor quality clothing

I purchased a leather jacket Zara online and I am so appalled by the quality it’s unbelievable. I made this purchase in March it’s only been roughly 6 months and already my jacket is deteriorating and it’s peeling. I like to think as a customer there is no way I would spend over R1000.00 for a jacket and not have it last even 6 months. Bear in mind that I have not washed this jacket or immersed it in water in anyway possible as I do not wear it that religiously cause if that the case I would’ve possible blamed it on the fact that I washed it. This biker jacket is my second purchase from the leather jacket range and my first puffer jacket I purchased about 2 years ago is still in perfect condition so I’m failing to understand the issue here. I contacted customer care any they say they cannot assist me even if it’s within the 6 month as per their policy.
