NO RETURN ON GIFT WITHOUT PROOF OF PURCHASE

I purchased a pair of shoes for my fiance as a gift and got the size wrong. When she went in to return the shoes they would not accept the return as she did not have the proof of purchase which I have mislaid. I then called the store because I paid via my Card which would be on record. They still would not want to accept the return. I have therefore lost R600 due to this policy of theirs. <br> <br> Ridiculous.
