Discount not given

Went to zara Eastgate today. A jersey I wanted to purchase had a 50% off sticker on it. When I went to pay they said I could not get discount as they had forgotten to take stickers off. Asked to speak to manager she said I had to pay full price for jersey even though it had a discount sticker!!!
