Appalling Exchange Policy at ZARA SA. SO ridiculous
I was in dismay when I wanted to exchange an item that was received as a gift. A week ago my sister who is based in Pietermaritzburg send some ZARA items, which were bought at their Durban store and then posted via a courier company. Now, I needed a smaller size as one of the items is too big. Obviously, this was sent as a gift and it is my understanding (based on most clothing retailers) that you keep the price tag with the barcode if you buy something as a gift. Granted, ZARA has its own policy. However,
What I don't get is the fuss of the exchange whereas the garment is in sellable condition with a price tag on. Just because there is no docket they can't do an exchange. It's like dealing with Chinese businesses, the good thing about the Chinese, they put big notices on some other lousy conditions especially I.r.t. return/exchange.
I doubt this ZARA business will make it in South Africa. I don't care if their market is the Elite and affluent, but this is South Africa, and therefore, they might need to align their standards just like most international brands.
I find their exchange policy shocking if not nonsensical, and ridiculous.
I wish someone who use their brain cell and review this policy and for now, someone from their sales team to grant approval for my exchange. After all, I love the purchased/gifted garment and to wait for at least 2 years for it to fit is almost a joke if not a pain.
