All about policies and no customer service
In a nutshell, I received a top from Zara as a Christmas gift and I absolutely love the top but the tag is placed in an awkward position so when I wear the top, the tag clearly shows. I went to Zara on 24 January 2015 hoping to exchange it and was told that I can't as the 30 day return period had ended. The top was purchased on 16 December 2014.

I explained that the top was purchased as a gift and was therefore purchased 2 weeks before being given to me. I then went overseas so wasn't able to return the top any sooner.

Zara advised that all the shirts from this style batch all have the tag in the exact place and this product has not been deemed defective by their product dept. They therefore won't allow me to return this, also due to the fact that I was 10 days past the 30 day policy.

My argument is that the tag is clearly visible when I wear the top, which is unacceptable as a clothing item, whether or not they deem this as non-defective or not. I have also very clearly explained as to why I could not return this in 30 days and feel it is extremely unprofessional not to be able to make an exception to the rule.
