I booked at the Doonside Zar Hotel for the 29/03/2025 and the hospitality by the white male reception was outstanding, he's competency and customer service skills were rather convincing enough for me and my friends to visit the hotel again. i stayed in room 104.
The service at the bar at the burgers were also on point and would gladly recommend it to the next person.
Zar Hotel definitely deserve a good round of applause.
However, in-spite of the great customer service and facilities quality, Zar Hotel could still improve here and there in areas such as: 1. The pool area being accessible to hotel guests in the early hours (7am) because some guests may not be comfortable swimming in front of the people visiting the bar, 2. Having a vending machine at the reception area since there are no shops opened 24/7 near by in case one needs bottled water or snacks in the middle of the night (its more safe to buy in house rather then go to the garage at 2am). 3. The room service, the hotel needs to keep at least 2 glasses, 2 coffee mugs, coffee, sugar and a bit of milk for the guests and a kettle because the hotel doesn't have an overnight service for such. You may have a diabetic guest caught in an emergency that requires sugar overnight even. Not having a water jar, a glass or a cup in my room was rather disappointing as i wanted to take painkillers at 2am but did not have a cup or glass to drink from. 4. Sound proofing the rooms. not everyone is able to sleep whilst there are footsteps and people chatting in the corridors. the loud noise i could hear from people in the corridor was very disturbing, and the light that comes in through the door edges was disturbing and affected my sleep. the hotels needs to adjust the carpet or door fitting so that there are no spaces that allow unwanted light into the room at night, this will also help reduce the noise hopefully.
other than that, my stay would have been perfect.
