We are South Africans who were planning a destination wedding in zanzibar for November 2023. We then booked a package with Humphrey at Zanzibar1_decor after we had seen some of his work on Instagram and work done at the hotel we had selected for our wedding. We were quoted $342 for some simple decor and flowers. We agreed to the quote in June 2023 and paid a 50% deposit. We stayed in communication until we arrived in zanzibar in November. The day before the wedding, Humphrey confirmed that everything was fine. We were concerned about the weather but he assured us it would be fine for an outdoor ceremony. He was scheduled to arrive at 11am. On the day, we could not get hold of him from the morning. His phone was off. We had the contact of his brother who was booked for entertainment who said his phone had been ****** but he was on the way. We then had to try several avenues to contact him and kept beinh infomed hes close by. The ceremony was scheduled to start at 4:30pm. He did not arrive. We then continued the ceremony without the decor and ran late for photography which was then ruined as the sun began to set. Humphrey arrived late that evening when it was already dark with flowers that were dead and nothing ready. He was requested to leave the venue. He refused to refund us.
